People and Money

“Money Won’t Make You Rich” is the title of a bestseller by Pastor Sunday Adelaja,  a book that changed my mindset about the subject of money. I recommend this book to everyone who wants to be successful financially.

Money won’t make you rich. This is a fact. Money is just currency, a means of exchange. It is not value in itself. The earlier a person understands this concept the better. This is very important especially in this period of time when a lot of schemes are coming up everyday that’s concerned about giving you money or doubling your money or thereabout. Personally I have no problem with these schemes. Most of them are good and has helped a lot of people come out of poverty by giving them an extra source of income. What bothers me however is that these systems do not really care about me,  who I am,  what I know or what I need to become. They are just concerned about giving me money. I know a lot about money one of which is the fact that money doesn’t make me rich, and I want to be rich. I have read stories of lottery winners who became rich and poor again.

Wealth is a mindset

People who are rich think and act in a certain way. They have a mindset toward money that doesn’t change irrespective of whether they have money at the moment or not. I have come across some persons who though are broke at the moment but have the mindset of the rich. In a short while these persons will become rich in reality. This is so because the journey from poverty to wealth requires a mental transition,  a paradigm shift.

To become rich,  a person must change his mindset towards money and wealth. A lot of people were born poor and they have a belief system towards wealth which was sold to them by their environment and people around them. Some believe that they can never be rich. They believe that mother nature has chosen her set of people who are destined to be rich as well as those destined to be poor. Hence they make no attempt towards becoming rich in life. They simply accept their fate as poor.  Now this is mediocrity. Anyone can be rich, anyone from any geographical location, irrespective of background or the circumstances surrounding one’s birth, irrespective of whether nature was unfair to one or not as we have seen people who though born with natural disabilities still became successful in life, such as Stevie Wonder, Tanni Grey-Thompson,  Aisha Chandran and the list goes on. The moment a person believes that he can become rich and follows it up with a decision, the journey towards wealth becomes activated. The next step is draw a plan of action and begin immediately to take steps towards it. Once this is done the entire universe begins to work for him towards making that plan a reality. The universe begins to gather all the resources and attract all the things and people that will help make that vision a reality. This very true. You can ask all those who are successful today.

Wealth is Ideas

A person’s ability to solve problems is what made him rich. His ability to come up with ideas that will add value to society makes him rich. In his book,  “Think and Grow Rich”, Napoleon Hill uncovered the mystery of the human mind, how a man can move from poverty to wealth by making good use of his brain. The power of the human mind is magnificent. A man can become rich by putting his imagination into action.

The thinking process is a bid to search into the unlimited universe or infinite intelligence, where words‘ like impossible' or ‘unlimited’ does not exists. This thinking process enables the thinker to come up with great ideas that will add value to mankind. The more ideas a person is able to conceive,  the more problems he is able to solve.  The more problems a person is able to solve,  the richer he becomes. Take a good look at all those who are wealthy today,  they are solving problems.

Money doesn’t makes you rich.  What makes you rich is ‘You’. There is so much wealth inside of you; bring it out. Money doesn’t make people. It is people who makes money. Poor people allows money to control them. The rich are always busy thinking of new ways of controlling money.

Thanks for reading. We'll always appreciate your comments and question.
